Mansion Mayhem V. 3.1.1 & Halloween Event

Greetings Survivors & Killers… We welcome all of you to the annual MM Halloween event & update v3.1.1! Get ready to cook up a diabolical brew in the all-new Dark Kitchen Jubilee event! Switch up your strategies because new balance changes are heading your way. Be here on November 5th at 5:00 PM EST for a spooky event where we will play some big scary games of Mansion Mayhem!

This event was supposed to occur on 10/29, but unfortunately we’ve had some things come up and could not host it that day. Please ignore the incorrect date in the graphic.

With that stuff out of the way, let’s dive into what v3.1.1 has to offer.

General Game & QoL Changes

  • Power Selection
    • When all Players have selected the yellow concrete “Confirm Selection” block in the Power selection menu, it will set the game timer to 3 seconds.
  • Hide Sequence
    • During the hide sequence, Killers will now get blindness. Killers were never supposed to glitch the mansion doors to attempt to see hiding Survivors.
  • Mansion Doors
    • Attempting to escape will now do damage to you.
  • Power Icon Changes
    • Power icons updated for:
      • Super Powers
      • Door Lock
      • Power Lock

New Power

Survivor/Killer Glue

All affected players are glued to the floor and cannot jump, climb stairs or slabs for 6 seconds.

  • 20s cooldown
  • 3 uses

Balance Changes

Super Powers (Both teams are identical)

  • Power rework
  • Power now affects other Powers based on their durations. The durations have been placed in tiers for more clarity.
    • Power amplifier: 30% -> 25%
    • Cooldown reduction: 9s -> 15s
      • Powers that have less than an 18 second cooldown will be capped at a 3 second cooldown (no 0s cooldown is possible).
    • Powers that become supercharged will have red Power titles & an additional sound effect.
  • Super Powers cooldown: 50s -> 60s

Tier 0: Powers that last 0 seconds, instant use Powers (ex. Confusion)

  • Using a Power does NOT consume a use.

Tier 1: Powers that last 1-4 seconds.

  • Duration Increase: +1s

Tier 2: Powers that last 5-8 seconds.

  • Duration Increase: +2s

Tier 3: Powers that last 9-12 seconds.

  • Duration Increase: +4s

Tier 4: Powers that last 13-16 seconds.

  • Duration Increase: +8s

Tier 5: Powers that last 17+ seconds.

  • Duration Increase: +16s

Global Cooldown (Both teams are identical)

  • Power rework
    • Duration increased to 20s (was 6s)
    • Cooldown recuded to 30s (was 33s)
    • Uses increased 3 -> 4
  • Global cooldown now locks all your Powers when you use a Power for 6s instead of actually placing them on full cooldown. This is how GC was supposed to work many years ago. For some reason we didn’t even think of this solution before.

Survivor Powers

Killer Slow

  • Movement speed reduction: 30% -> 40%
  • Duration: 12s -> 10s

Killer Stun

  • Duration 2s -> 1.5s

Broken Blades

  • Power rework
    • Blades will now truly break.
    • Damage for all Killers reduced by 25%
    • Now, each time a Killer hits a Survivor with their sword, that single Killer will deal exponentially less damage until the sword breaks. (Sword is given back at the end of the Power if it does break).
    • Damage reduced multiplied by -1.15 each time a Killer hits someone.

Killer Reveal

  • Flashing removed completely. Super Powers would actually make Reveal worse, now it should be a bit more worth using.
  • In other words, reveal simply just gives Killers glowing.

Survivor Boost

  • Movement speed bonus: 30% -> 45%
  • Duration: 12s -> 10s

Intense Survivor Boost

  • Movement speed bonus: 70% -> 80%
  • Duration: 5s -> 4.5s

Survivor Launch

  • Reduces the next fall damage event greatly. This reduction is only available for 5s.
  • If you crouch (shift), you will no longer be launched.

Flying Survivors

  • Now heavily reduces fall damage for 15 seconds.

Survivor Shield

  • On successful blocks, nearby Killers recieve knockback & are thrown a short distance away from you.
  • Duration: 15s -> 16s
  • Chance to Block Attack: 40% -> 55%
  • Damage Reduction: 25% -> 35%

Sneaky Survivors

Sneaky Survivors is getting a huge rework. Survivors are now completley hidden from Killers. You are immune to damage and do not make a single sound. You can see your fellow Survivors, but Killers cannot see you. Because of these big changes, we want to make sneaky more valuable to use along with some added cons like speed reduction.

  • Power now silences most of the sounds you make (i.e. walking, ladder climbing, eating, etc.)
  • Removes particles below your feet.
  • Killers cannot see any items you hold.
  • Movement speed reduction: 0% -> 15%
  • Uses: 3 -> 2
  • Cooldown: 40s -> 45s

Killer Haunt

  • Ghosts now move 25% faster (previously no speed boost was added) for the duration of the haunt.
  • Ghosts now spawn in a more convenient fashion for your needs.

Killer Repel

  • Uses 3 -> 2
  • Duration 2s -> 6s (Mini repels occur 3 times now, once every 2s)
  • Cooldown 30s -> 40s

Killer Powers

Survivor Slow

  • Movement speed reduction: 30% -> 40%
  • Duration: 12s -> 10s

Survivor Stun

  • Duration 2s -> 1.5s

Boosty Killers

  • If you hold crouch for 3 seconds, you will be propelled over 20 blocks into the air.
  • Cooldown 15s -> 18s

Health Gouge

  • Super Powers Amplifier is unique for this Power where increases the health reduction slightly.
    • Super Gouge 10 HP -> 12 HP (6 Hearts)
    • Super Powers does NOT affect the 1 HP drain listed below
  • Power now drains 1 health point from all Survivors along with reducing their max HP.
  • Duration 30s -> 8s
  • Health Reduction: 3 HP -> 10 HP (5 Hearts)
  • Cooldown 60s -> 30s

Killer Boost

  • Movement speed bonus: 30% -> 45%
  • Duration: 12s -> 10s

Turbo Killers

  • Movement speed bonus: 75% -> 60%
  • Duration: 5s -> 5.5s

Sneaky Killers

We wanted to rework Sneaky so that it would truly be a sneaky Power. Now the Power completley hides you for the duration. You cannot be seen or heard, but you can still deal damage. Since this is so powerful, we wanted to balance this extreme strength with some cons to using Sneaky Killers like speed & damage reductions.

  • Power now silences most of the sounds you make (i.e. walking, ladder climbing, eating, etc.)
  • Also hides your sword or any items held.
  • Movement speed reduction: 0% -> 10%
  • Damage Reduction: 20%
  • Uses: 3 -> 2
  • Duration: 20s -> 12s

Bug Fixes

  • Killers now hear the block sound effect w/ Survivor Shield. Previously it didn’t do this.

First off, we must apologize for having a late event. We just couldn’t host an event with an unfinished, broken game…but hey, it wouldn’t be “Mansion Mayhem” without a little stress, eh?
